The fight between native and foreign has been going on for many years. The 1920's was when most foreigners would move to the United States for more opportunities, a better job, or a better life. Most of them came from Europe. Mostly from places like Germany and Britain. Despite the ongoing flow of foreigners into the U.S, Natives were not very welcoming to the new comers. People of the United States felt that the more diverse their country became, the more their heritage was lost. This led to discrimination against foreigners of all races through books, poems, short stories and signs.
